Lucy's beauty catches the attention of the corrupt Judge Turppin, who wrongly accuses the barber of a crime he didn't commit, and later assaults Lucy after gaining custody of her. After fifteen years in exile, Benjamin returns to London under the new name Sweeney Todd, seeking revenge on Turppin.
